Privacy Notice

How Every Little Thing Planners handles your personal data when you use the Every Little Thing Budget Planner.

Who is responsible

Every Little Thing Planners, trading as Every Little Thing, is the data controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide what is collected and why. You can reach us about anything on this page at hello@everylittlethingwedding.com.

What we collect and why

  • Account details — your email address and sign-in identifier, so we can create your account and let you back in. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Planner entries — the names, dates, guest counts, vendors, and amounts you type into your book, so we can save them and sync them across your devices. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Device records — a record of the devices signed into your account, so we can enforce the device limit and spot misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing account sharing and fraud.
  • Purchase and unlock records — the order reference and key associated with your access, so we can honour what you bought and handle refunds. Legal basis: performance of our contract and our legal obligations.
  • Support messages — what you write to us and our replies, so we can help you. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Marketing email — if you ask for updates or a discount code, your email address, until you unsubscribe. Legal basis: your consent.

Who we share it with

  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale itself: payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance, and refunds.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers, who store the database and run the site on our behalf.
  • Email and support tooling, where you have asked to hear from us.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we never sell or publish your planner entries.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and planner entries for as long as your account is open, and for thirty days after you close it so a mistake can be undone. Purchase records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Everything else is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it elsewhere in a portable form. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to hello@everylittlethingwedding.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with our answer, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls on our database, and row-level rules that keep each account’s entries readable only by that account.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to hold your planner entries on your own device between visits. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear them in your browser settings, though doing so will sign you out.
